Samsung Brings Its One UI Design To Microsoft’s Windows Machines

Samsung is bringing its One UI 4 mobile design language to its Windows Galaxy Book laptops. This mobile-like interface will be visible in its laptops across the Samsung Gallery, settings and Notes app in Windows 11.

This seems to merge the operating system between Samsung smartphones and its Windows Galaxy books. Also, Samsung is calling this design the “One UI Book 4” specifically. It will roll out to Galaxy series of laptops including the Pro, Pro 360, Flex2, Book and Book Odyssey.

Samsung has begun to mass-produce its in-house 90Hz OLED laptop screen for other Ordinary equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Interestingly, prices of OLED have fallen drastically due to the high adoption of manufacturers in their laptop screens. The once expensive and reserved screens for premium and costly laptops are now coming to mid-range and budget laptops.

OLED screens are gaining popularity among the creative industry and beyond.  These screens ensure deeper blacks and colour contrasts for editing and content consumption.

The Display production company announced it was going to mass-produce OLED screens early this year in January. The company mentioned that “OLED panels can best satisfy the diverse consumer needs for laptops used in telework; online education; video streaming; and gaming,” in a statement.

Other benefits of the 90Hz OLED screen are more lifelike; and snappier movements from a colour perspective. The South Korean company is a global leader in the display panel market with OLED as well as LCD technologies and products.

Ultimately, Microsoft and Samsung have been working closely to make their customers enjoy a seamless cross-platform integration across their devices. Its recent announcement is a special venture for Xbox Game pass on Samsung Smartphones.
