Samsung has announced another Unpacked virtual presentation on 23rd September 2020. The event is titled “Galaxy Unpacked for Every Fan,” possibly marking the official revSSeal of the rumoured Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition.
The company has held events to release the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and Note 20, Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Flip 5G, Galaxy Watch 3, and others.
The Galaxy S20 Fan Edition was first seen on Verizon’s website by Android Police recently. According to leaks and rumours, the phone will retain some hardware specs of the standard S20. The S20’s 120Hz display and Snapdragon 865 processor will reportedly remain.

However, downgrades like a 1080p resolution could help drive down the price below the flagship. Reports say that the Fan Edition could abandon 5G in favour of LTE and use an Exynos 990 chip. The Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition will also likely ship with a 4,500 mAh battery and 15W charging.
The Verizon website has the phone in four colours; red, dark blue, pink, and mint green. Samsung’s official invite, however, shows only the dark blue and mint colour variety. Purple, Lavender, and Navy Blue variants are also rumoured.
Samsung first started the Fan Edition branding with a redo of the troubled Galaxy Note 7. However, it had previously launched lite versions of the Galaxy S10 and Note 10, but perhaps from a branding perspective, Fan Edition is a better choice for naming the device.
