Nigerian singer Ayoleyi Solomon, aka Reekado Banks, has urged Nigerians not to vote for anyone without concrete plans to reform the country’s police force in 2023.
Earlier on Wednesday 7th April Nigerian producer Shizzi, had expressed his frustration over alleged harassment of Nigerians by police operatives, citing his experience.

This will not be the first time Reekado Banks will call for police reforms. In 2018, the music star shared his ugly experience in the hands of SARS operatives.
“I don’t even know the difference btw SARZ and ARMED ROBBERS! The ones I met today overtook in a regular car, No uniforms, immediately pointed their guns and asked that we came down from the car, then calmed down when they noticed me. Biko what if I wasn’t me ???”. He tweeted at the time.
Meanwhile, in October 2020, Nigerians called for an end to the Special Anti- Robbery Squad(SARS) in a nationwide protest. This arm of the police was accused of extortion and extrajudicial killings.
