American rapper Jermaine Lamarr Cole better known as J.Cole has released “The Off-Season”, his highly anticipated sixth studio album.
The project arrives a few days after the release of “Interlude”, a promotional single off the album.
The 12-track album takes the usual pattern of the North Carolina rapper, with rhymes intriguing enough to retain listeners’ attention.
The project is released under the umbrellas of Roc Nation, Jay-Z’s record label, and Dreamville Records. Its distribution is handled by Universal Music Distribution.
The 39-minute body of work includes tracks like “95 South”, “Amari’‘and “My Life”. “Applying Pressure”, “Punchin” “The Clock”, and “100 Mil” also features in the album.
Others are “Pride is The Devil”, “Let Go My Hand”, “Interlude”, “The Climb Back” and “Hunger” on “Hillsides”.

“The Off Season” comes on the back of the success recorded by “KOD”, his 2018 album. The abbreviation stands for “Kids on Drugs,” “King Overdose” and “Kill Our Demons.”
Tracks on “KOD”, features powerful verses which often dwell on societal issues such as taxation, abuse of power, addiction.
The Grammy-nominated rapper is popular for using his lyrics to address a range of contemporary issues across the world.
In 2019, J.Cole had also worked with his team of independent artists to release “Revenge of The Dreamers III”. The third part of Dreamville’s project featured label signees such as Lute, Cozz, Bas, JID and Omen.
