Qualcomm Announces Snapdragon 750G 5G Mobile Platform, See Details

Qualcomm has just announced the latest improvement on its Snapdragon 7-series chipset, the 750G 5G. Here is why the tech world is excited about this news.

“Truly global 5G, amazing on-device AI, and boosted performance combine for brilliant HDR gaming, all backed by sustainable power,” the company says in its press release.

The Snapdragon 750G is touted as ‘truly global 5G’ processor because it has support for all key regions, spectrum bands, and modes using the Snapdragon X52 5G Modem-RF System. With this, people who play games via their smartphones can stop worrying about quality.

This processor will provide ‘True HDR’ quality; giving 10-bit colour depth, 2020 colour gamut and 10x brighter colours. Also, still on the gaming capabilities, it uses Adreno HDR Fast Blend. This feature offers 2x better performance in complex rendering. Additionally, users will get latest upgrades in real-time with updateable GPU drivers; it even requires no OS updates.

The Snapdragon 750G uses 5th gen Qualcomm AI Engine. This can perform at 4 TOPS or 20% better than previous generation processors. It also has an inbuilt personal assistant that helps during heavy use, like gaming.

With it, smartphone manufacturers can include 120 Hz display on their devices. The processor also improves camera capabilities and supports up to 192MP capture for beautifully detailed photos. There are biometric authentication capabilities — this covers fingerprint, iris, voice and face.

Snapdragon 750G uses the Qualcomm quick Charge 4+ tech which enables devices charge up to 50 per cent in 15 minutes. We couldn’t find what the maximum storage capacity on devices will be.

There are already rumours that Xiaomi phones will first launch the Snapdragon 750G. However, we all know that this means that even budget phones will be having top features when equipped with this latest chipset.
