Pooping In Public: How To Upgrade Your Potty Time

Defecation, or pooping, is the body’s way of getting rid of undigested food, dead cells and body waste. Because of the organic state of poop and the bacteria present in the mix, it tends to smell really bad. Letting out a sh*t can be a very relaxing activity. But it can also be difficult to relax when you’re doing it outside the comfort of your own home. So here are some things you need to have a good poop experience in a public toilet.

1. Wipes

Wet wipes ensure that you get the best of both worlds when wiping. Tissues are dry and not thorough enough, while water gets messy and is often unavailable, to begin with. However, with wipes, you get to clean yourself up neatly and thoroughly after using the toilet. You could even get antibacterial wipes to help clean up the toilet seat before you sit. This significantly lowers the risk of infection! Wet wipes don’t flush, though, so don’t block the toilet with them.

2. Toilet seat sheets

Going number 2 is not something you can do while standing; we don’t want to make a splash. But sitting down in a public toilet can be horrific. So spare yourself the horror and get some toilet seat sheets. They provide a layer of separation and protection from the toilet seat. These disposable sheets are also light and can be folded into your bag.

3. Air freshener

As you know, sh*t doesn’t smell pretty. And it can be pretty embarrassing for everyone to know the deadly smells you just dropped. So get a pocket-sized air freshener to clear the air after you drop the bomb. This only goes if you are conscious about it. If you don’t care, then it won’t matter. Everyone’s poop smells.

4. Hand sanitizer

Pooping is a dirty business, and you will need to disinfect your hands when you’re done. There is no way to be sure there will be a hand wash in the public toilet so just bring your own. That way, you won’t be shy to shake hands later.

5. Entertainment

Being in the toilet affords you a couple of minutes of free time to do whatever you want. You can watch your favourite TV show on your phone, read a few paragraphs from a book, or just meditate. There’s no written reason why pooping should be a boring affair.

We hope you enjoyed these tips and start to use them for peak pooping bliss.
