Police have revealed the cause of death of Bollywood star actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The provisional post-mortem report has puts the cause of death was asphyxia due to hanging.
Dr. RN Cooper Municipal General Hospital in Mumbai conducted the post-mortem and the result came a day after Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Bandra residence. The Police also made certain disclosures regarding the actor’s mental condition at the time of his death. They revealed that the “Kai PoChe” actor was battling depression.
According to a Mumbai Police official, the team that visited his residence found medication meant to treat depression. No suicide note, however, was found from the spot the official added.
The actor was undergoing treatment for his condition at Mumbai’s Hinduja hospital. However, the police are yet to speak to the doctor who was treating him.

The untimely death of the versatile actor sent shock waves among celebrities and his fans alike. The Patna-born Rajput became an instant hit with his good looks when he was noticed in the famous soap on Zee TV’s “Pavitra Rishta” back in the year 2009.
He made his Bollywood debut in the buddy drama “Kai Po Che” in 2013, for which he also received a Filmfare nomination for Best Male Debut. The same year, he was also seen in the romantic comedy “Shuddh Desi Romance” which was followed by his role in the action-thriller “Detective Byomkesh Bakshy”in 2015.
