Dell has launched the G7 17, Its newest midrange gaming laptop in two sizes: 15 and 17 inches. The PC maker also announced other new gaming laptops and peripherals, including an RGB keyboard, a curved monitor, and a desktop.
The new PC has a stylish new redesign from the G7 counterparts. It is slimmer, with a neatly colored LED on the front of the deck. Compared to the G7 15, the bezels have shrunk from 9.9mm to 6.5mm – 8.16mm on the G7 17. Dell also added a speaker grille above the keyboard.
The Dell G7 17 comes with 10th Gen Intel CPUs up to a Core i9 in terms of specifications. This means it has the Core i5-10300H, Core i7-10750H, and Core i9-10980HK processors options.

For graphics, it is beefed up with Nvidia GeForce GPUs up to an RTX 2070 Max-Q on the G7 15 and 2070 Super on the G7 17. This means that the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti, GTX 1660 Ti, RTX 2060, and RTX 2070 Max-Q graphics card are all available to choose from.
As for storage and memory, it boasts of a 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. The Dell G7 17 has a 1080p and 144 Hz IPS panel, which is upgradeable to a 300 Hz display of the same resolution which both peak at 300 nits. There’s also a 4K OLED panel with a 400 nit panel, and refresh rate of 60 Hz at its maximum.
Dell has also redistributed the ports on the G7 17. The Thunderbolt 3 port and power connector have swapped places. The Dell logo in front of the laptop has also gotten a multi-coloured makeover and has added an RGB LED str*p.
