Wilmer is the opener of the album and, in it, he expressed his affection for her. From the opening, you get captivated by the beat and then the lyrics take you places. You can instantly feel the love he has for his daughter as he describes her as his everything. As an added symphony, Georgian singer Bera is featured. He takes on the verse on “Wilmer” giving magic to the listener’s ears.
The “Wilmer” album features many local and international artists, but only one Nigerian, Davido. Also featured in other tracks are Kenya’s Nyashinski on “Nakupenda” and South Africa’s Busiswa on “Open Fire”.
Prior to its release, the Nigerian reggae/dancehall singer teased fans by dropping two hits from the album. Davido featured in the “Confirm” song and video. This song still remains a standout lead single.
Although the album is dedicated to his daughter, the entire album isn’t strictly love themed.
Patoranking also addresses issues like the division of black people on “Black”. On “Champion”, he advised his listener’s to work hard in order to success — that’s what he did and is still doing. Other party-starting tracks, produced by DJ Coublon, are “Feeling” and “Nakupenda”. He also took fans down memory lane with dancehall sug genres “Temperature” and “Go Crazy”.
Patoranking also featured Congo’s Dadju and English singer and rapper from North-West London, Donae’o, making it fit for international standards.
Another earlier song he released prior to the album launch is “Lenge Lenge”.
