Orange Culture, owned by creative director Adebayo Oke-Lawal, presented its Autumn/Winter 2019 collection. It is a celebration of emotionally sensitive masculinity with the theme “Do Not Look Under My Skirt!” Also, the collection celebrates self-liberation and expression.
The collection used colours, shapes and images inspired by traditional women’s clothing. It also explores the confrontations that outcasts face. It is a colourful rebuttal to the Nigerian society’s conservative norms.
The mission of Orange Culture is to, “go against gender stereotypes and toxic masculinity, and to use fashion for social change.”
