A Nigerian Human Resource personnel was verbally attacked on social media after she shared a tweet about how a male job seeker had complimented her after his interview. He had mentioned a simple statement, “You smell nice,” which the interviewer found irritating. She scolded him immediately, saying, “That’s very rude of you”. This, according to her, made him leave looking stupid.
Her tweet via her handle (@taiwo__y) drew mixed responses. Some acknowledged she had done the right thing while others retorted that she had overreacted.

With the heat we are feeling in this country, someone is saying you are smelling nice, you considered it rude. Sis Taiwo, he’s not rude, to you he might be unprofessional. Next time help him become a better person rather than making him look stupid and coming to tell us here.
