A jailed Nigerian scammer, Hope Olusegun Aroke, is still coordinating fraudulent Operations from prison. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) tweeted about this earlier today, 19th November 2019. The Yahoo Boy is currently serving a 24-year jail sentence.
He also coordinated with other high valued suspects under investigation of the Agency for various offenses relating to computer fraud and money laundering.
Another Nigerian Scammer Jailed
Adeleke, an internet fraud apprentice, bagged six months jail term. Showing that the EFCC keeps cracking down on these scammers. The court pronounced him guilty of impersonation in a one-count charge filed against him on Monday, November 18, 2019.
The Ibadan office of the EFCC arraigned him and bagged a term of eight months. He operates with the name Patrick Bob while pretending to the unsuspecting to be an American Citizen.
He also was taking part in an online dating scam apprenticeship, prior to his arrest in June. Justice Joyce Abdumalik of the Federal High Court, Ibadan Judicial Division presided over the case.
Mompha Remanded
The anti-corruption agency furthermore, responded to a suspicion that they released suspected fraudster Ismaila Mustapha a.k.a Mompha who they arrested on October 22nd, 2019.
The agency also responded to the suspicions via its twitter handle saying; Ismaila Mustapha A.K.A Mompha is still remanded on court orders while he will be arraigned and the information about Him bribing his way out of arrest is false and must be disregarded.
EFCC disclosed that Hope Olusegun Aroke masterminded internet scams worth over $100,000 whilst serving his jail term. The Commission debunked any type of lapses in its security.
They stated that convicts serve their jail terms in correctional centers, not EFCC custody.
