Veteran actor Clem Ohameze has received the sum of eight million Naira to fund his procedural surgery. The gift is coming a week after he called on Nigerians for prayers.

The movie star was gifted with the donation by a popular pastor, Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin.

In a photo that surfaced online, Clem Ohameze is seated in front of bundles of Naira notes. The actor is seen shedding tears of joy as Pastor Fufeyin pats his shoulder.

In a video that surfaced on the internet on Wednesday 24th November, the actor said his health challenges started after he had a car accident some time ago. He, therefore, called on Nigerians to pray for him ahead of his surgery

In the footage, Ohameze said doctors informed him that he has to undergo procedural surgery to separate his cervical vertebrae three from four to free his spinal cord permanently.

Meanwhile, in a recent chat with BBC Pidgin, the film star said he only asked for prayers, adding that he doesn’t want money from anyone.

“The only thing I need from people is their prayer. There’s nothing more than prayers. Prayers go beyond everything. I don’t want money from anybody, I only want their good thoughts and prayers,” he said.

The actor also disclosed that his absence in movies in recent times was due to his health challenges.
