Some Nigerian celebrities have commented on the perceived mellow outrage that greeted BBNaija’s Cross Ike Okonkwo’s n*de video.
Cross had posted but quickly deleted a video where he was displaying his genitalia on Snapchat. But, he wasn’t fast enough as the video still made its way onto other social media platforms. Reacting to the video OAP Moet Abebe and BBNaija reality star Dorathy expressed disappointment at the prevailing double standards experienced by women in this part of the world.
“The double standards are so peak. Women can’t get away with anything in these parts smh,” Moet Abebe wrote.
Dorathy on her IG stories wrote; “Internet people and double standards. I nor fit.”

Meanwhile, her fellow BBNaija star TBoss has said these “mistakes” are only happening because there are no repercussions.
“There are mistakes and there are intentional mistakes. And the rate of these ridiculous intentional mistakes is about to increase – you know why? Because there are no repercussions. None at all. If only there were,” she wrote.
Cross in an exclusive interview with TVC explained that the video was a mistake as he didn’t intend to post it on social media.
“It was a simple mistake it wasn’t a big deal, it was a mistake. Like I said earlier, I’m not really back with my phone so once in a while, I get to use it. So I didn’t know that Snapchat has changed a lot of its features,” he said.
