Afrobeats rising stars Zinoleesky and Mohbad have been arrested by operatives of the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
In a now-viral video, the singers were seen being rough-handled by NDLEA operatives. As the video progressed Zinoleesky was cuffed and pushed away alongside side other young men in the house where the arrest was made.
Meanwhile, the NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi confirmed the arrest. He also said Cannabis and Molly were recovered by the operatives from Zinoleesky and Mohbad.
“Our men raided an area in Idado estate where Bịara Market boys stay. Some quantities of Cannabis sativa and Molly were recovered from their apartment and car,” he told TheCable Lifestyle.
“Six persons were arrested in all. Two females and four males.”

Marlain Records, the record label both artists are signed to has however not released any statement on the reported arrest.
However, Marlian Records boss Naira Marley took to his Instagram to say he is angry over the development.
“I’m so angry right now,” he wrote.
This will be the second time in recent times men of the NDLEA will arrest popular figures in the entertainment industry.
Recall that comedian Degeneral was arrested by operatives of the NDLEA at his home in Lekki on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, for possession of drugs.
