MTN Nigeria Announces Upgraded 4G Networks In Lagos Locations, See If Your Area Is Listed

With more and more people turning to the internet for entertainment, work-related and other needs, network providers have been under pressure to up their game as well. MTN Nigeria, just announced that it has upgraded 4G network performance in locations around Lagos State.

 

Lagos State remains the most populated city in Nigeria and by default; it has the highest number of internet users. It is also the ‘tech center’ of the country, hence, it is understandable that network providers would be focusing on it. In two Tweets this morning, MTN revealed that its 4G network has been upgraded in many locations around Lagos state. See Tweets below:

The company revealed that a total of 28 locations distributed around the city have gotten the upgrade. You can check the pictures to see if your location is among the listed ones.

 

This innovation is likely aimed at giving users better digital experience as more people are relying on internet services these days.

 

MTN is a major network provider that is available in over 22 countries. In Nigeria, it has more than 58 million subscribers and controls over 35% of the network market, according to a Wikipedia statistic. While this is an encouraging improvement to its services, complaints under the Twitter announcement shows that the company still has lots to do.
