Adewura Latifat Belo, who was reported missing by her family, has been found dead in a canal.

 

Reports had gone out two weeks ago that the 26-year old had not returned home from work. Adewura went missing on Wednesday, 15th May  2019. Adewura’s sister subsequently shared a message on Twitter, requesting that people help her find her sister. The deceased’s sister had last spoken to her on Wednesday night.

 

Prior to that, she had left the office around 6 with a colleague who dropped her off at Medical Road, opposite Ikeja bus terminal to get a bus.

 

According to reports, her phone had last synced to Google at 7:59 pm on that day inside Gowon Estate where she lives.

 

The news update is unfortunate as her body was found in a canal eleven days after she went missing.

 

An update was made on 26th May 2019 by Twitter user Benjamin who goes by the name @OfficiallBmax. According to him, her body was discovered in a canal.

 

He wrote:

 

“Thank you all for the search. Adewura is dead, her body found in a canal. Heaven has gained an angel. We depart to meet again. Till we meet again, Adewura is forever in our hearts. God, I am in pains, but who am I the question you? Rip.”
