Microsoft recently appointed Olatomiwa Williams as its new country manager for Nigeria. She takes over from Akin Banuso, who is currently the commercial lead for the Middle East and Africa region.
Her new appointment comes with a lot of responsibility. “It’s a great honor to be taking on this exciting journey at a time when the organization is focused on growing and accelerating Africa’s transformation,” said OIatomiwa.
“I am very optimistic of where Africa is headed and how we have a unique opportunity to use technology to really transform the lives and business in this region.”
Olatomiwa Williams previously served as Director of Microsoft Cloud and Digital Transformation Solutions. She now reports directly to Microsoft’s Middle East and Africa Region General Manager, Ibrahim Youssry.
Before her role as Director of Microsoft Cloud, she was Partner Technology Lead for Microsoft Nigeria. She has also worked as Solution Sales Director and Business Solution Lead at Microsoft Nigeria.

Speaking on Olatomiwa Williams appointment, Youssry says;

A graduate of Computer science from the Federal Polytechnic, Offa Olatomiwa joined Microsoft in 2010 as a Voice Technology Specialist in early 2008. She finalised her Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Liverpool in 2018.
Olatomiwa Williams has 10 years of experience working for Microsft Nigeria and over 20 years in Information Technology.
