The controversies surrounding fake Age in the entertainment industry continues to grow, with Mercy Eke being the new recipient of the attention from Netizens

Recall that over the weekend, Mercy Eke in a bid to encourage her fans to go get their PVCs, posted hers online

And although the reality star did cover her date of birth, some online investigators, through her VIN, which wasn’t covered, rooted out her real age to be 32

Now this is against the 29th birthday the reality star celebrated last year

You covered your date of birth and left VIN that shows everything about you. Does this make sense to you?. Anyway, I’m here to inform your that I just found out that you are 32 years of age. Don’t come here 29th Sept and claim 25 years o. Have a nice day,” the follower wrote.

Meanwhile Nigerians began to drag the influencer online for lying about her real age

In an attempt however to quell the fury against her, Mercy Eke on Monday, 16th January, took to her Twitter account to address the controversy

Seemingly unbothered with the draggings, Mercy Eke informed Nigerians to collect their PVC and vote.

She added that Nigeria will be great again.

“Collect your PVC. Nigeria be great again”.

In a Twitter exchange with a critic, Mercy Eke revealed her new age.

The ex girlfriend of Ike, claimed to be 52.

The critics tweeted, “But you’re close to 40 yrs old why you dey lie for us”.

Mercy Eke replied, “I’m actually 52”.

 

The issue with celebrities changing their age is a long standing culture that won’t be ending anytime soon

Also recall that new graduate from the Bbnaija house, Chichi, also had the same issue when she celebrated her 23rd birthday

But when old photos of hers surfaced online, many were in doubt if indeed 23 was her real age
