Mercedes-Benz 2024 E-Class featured a Superscreen in its unveiling that has built-in apps like TikTok, Webex by Cisco and Zoom, as well as a selfie camera. The screen has a large central touchscreen and a smaller one for the shotgun passenger.

Although it is not as high-tech as the EQS Hyperscreen that the German carmaker teased in 2021, it is certainly impressive. The screen brings several of the infotainment features that car owners have come to expect from the latest next-gen EVs.

Meanwhile, the interior does not look that much different from the most recent E-Class variants except the new leather colour and wood trim options owners can pick.

According to a coverage by The Verge, the Mercedes-Benz 2024 E-Class Superscreen relies on one powerful processor to carry out all its functions. This is different from the screens in previous models that have different processors powering different functions. Thus, it is expected to carry out requests faster.

With icon and menu designs similar to what smartphones use, the Superscreen will be easier to use and it also allows users to customise the display as they prefer.

Mercedes-Benz 2024 E-Class Superscreen Infotainment Features

Part of its infotainment offerings include a 17-speaker Burmester 4D surround sound system using Dolby Atmos technology and Spatial Audio from Apple Music. It also has an active ambient lighting Sound Visualization feature that improves the sound experience. This feature allows the interior light strips to blend with the beat of the song playing and match sound tones, from bass to mid-tones and treble.

The streaming content is only available to the passenger’s screen to prevent drivers from being distracted and it will not work unless the sensors detect a person in the passenger seat. In addition, the screen will be nearly invisible from the driver with a dual light control technology and automatic dim feature if the camera notices the driver looking over at the passenger’s screen.

The Mercedes-Benz 2024 E-Class Superscreen will use the MBUX software that no longer requires drivers to say “Hey Mercedes” before giving instructions. It is expected to be arrive later in 2023 or early next year.
