Forget Epic’s feud with Apple, Chapter 2: Season 4 of Fortnite will feature some of the biggest Marvel superheroes in a battle to save the battle royal island. The new season, also known as Nexus War, will see Marvel characters team up to fight off the planet-destroying villain Galactus.

The plot is that; the power of Fortnite’s island enticed Thor and Galactus. Then Thor summoned other heroes like Iron Man, Wolverine, and Captain America to help in fighting Galactus. Epic describes the Nexus war as “the war to save reality”.

This is not the first collaboration between Epic and Marvel. Marvel superhero skins have appeared in Fortnite, with the game featuring Avenger themed modes in 2018 and 2019.

Fornite has featured the skins of Black Widow, Star-Lord, Deadpool, Captain America, and X-Force members Cable, Psylocke, and Domino. The game has also featured DC Comics characters, like Aquaman, Batman, Catwoman, and Harley Quinn.

Fortnite players who play using Apple devices will not have access to Chapter 2: Season 4 due to Epic’s feud with Apple. Apple removed Fortnite from is App Store on 13th August 2020 after Epic snuck in a direct payment system into the game, contravening App Store rules.
