Rumors swirled last week that the Wright had exited production on the “Black Panther” sequel because vaccination is required on set and she’s an anti-vaxxer.

These rumours were fuelled by a video of her questioning the safety of covid-19 vaccines which is an obvious pointer to her views on it.

They were also calls for Marvel to recast for the role of T’challa, given Wrights supposed exit. Recall that the studio vowed not to recast the role after Chadwick Boseman’s death in 2020.

However, they’ve now shut down rumours that Letitia Wright left the production.

According to a Marvel source who spoke with the Hollywood Reporter, said Wright is only recovering from an injury she suffered on set of the movie.

According to Variety, the Guyanese-born British actress, 27, was filming in Boston during an overnight shoot when the accident occurred. Most of the “Black Panther” sequel’s production has been taking place in Atlanta.

Production will resume in January with the actress on board as the lead star, the source confirmed.

Letitia Wright plays Shuri, the Tech-savvy sister of T’Challa ( Late Chadwick Boseman) in the Ryan Coogler directed sequel.
