Most people have their elbows and knees looking darker than the rest for their body and sometimes it’s a source of worry and embarrassment.

It’s easy for the elbows and knees to become dark because of sun exposure, friction, heat, and sometimes, hormonal imbalance.

These parts of your body do not contain any oil so they can easily get dried and dark due to lack of moisture. However, they’re ways to make these areas even with the rest of your body and this article will show some of them.

Potato has catecholase enzymes that help to lighten darkened areas of the body.

How to use

Grate a potato and extract its juice and apply on the affected areas. Leave it on your skin for 15 minutes, then rinse it with water. You can also rub a sliced open potato on your elbows and knees and let it sit for 10-15 mins before you wash off.
