Reduce or avoid substances that intoxicate or depress. This includes alcohol, drugs, sugar, and caffeinated drinks like coffee and tea. Green tea and herbal tea are okay to drink. Social drinking should be kept to a minimum, and narcotics are to be avoided at all costs. These substances could spike up your anxiety.
