LG is now taking orders in South Korea for the most advanced TV set ever created. 8K OLED TV is now a thing.

The TV has an 88-inch OLED panel with 8K Ultra HD resolution (7680 x 4320). This is easily four times more pixels than 4K television. The TV panel is officially the largest TV LG has ever shipped.

At the moment, there are hardly any 8K televisions available in the world. LG is now revolutionising TV technology with the second-generation Alpha 9 8K processor.

The company is using deep learning algorithms to upscale images to a much higher resolution. LG says the television will use deep learning to generate virtual 5.1 surround sound with Dolby Atmos support.

The most interesting part of this television is its price. LG says the TV will sell at a retail price of 50 million won, which is approximately ₦10.3 million or $42,200 or £33,400 or AU$60,800. However, LG is taking pre-orders this June at a reduced price of 40 million won, which is about ₦and it will come with a free air purifier.

The TV, now currently only sold in South Korea, will go on sale in Europe and North American from the third quarter of 2019.
