Lexus teases the design and first look at its luxury electric vehicle RZ 450e, which is coming on April 20 with a steering yoke.
The sleek design of the coming Lexus RZ catches the eye at first glance and because it is company’s first ‘fully electric’ car, the manufacturer seems to be pouring everything into it.
Despite being just about two weeks away from launch date, Lexus has many of the car’s details hidden. However, one of the standout info we recently got wind of was the steering yoke; which may be a disappointment to many car lovers.

Of course, the steering yoke looks catchy and hip but the general consensus is that it is usually limited in functionality when compared to the traditional wheel. It is no wonder that Tesla Model S (which comes with a steering yoke) also has the regular wheel. Owners get to choose which they prefer. We expect that Lexus will offer this option as well, but it has not said anything on that.
In related news, the carmaker is also launching another electric vehicle later in 2022. This one is named BZ4X and it is equipped to last long range on single charges.
Just like Tesla, Lexus is working towards making all of its vehicles electric vehicles. As it says on its website, “This is the next chapter of electrified mobility.” The company plans to achieve this by 2035.
