Leaked Huawei P40 Pro Specifications Suggests A Total Of Eight Cameras

Huawei will launch its P40 series at a virtual press conference on 26th March 2020 after canceling its Paris event because of the coronavirus. Leaked specifications suggests that the coming smartphone will have five camera sensors on the back and three front camera.

According to GIZMOCHINA, the Huawei flagship smartphones that will take over from the P30 series will all be P40s. The online event is still 14 days away but specifications are already surfacing.

Its poster picture gives more credence to these speculations. The coming P40 Pro comes with the theme #VisionaryPhotography. Its photo shows three punch-holes cut into the front of the display area.

This led many phone enthusiasts to conclude that the Huawei P40 Pro will have three front cameras. Also, before now, many tech blogs had suggested about five rear cameras. For example, NDTV suggested that the P40 Pro (and maybe the P40) will feature the five back cameras.

Combining the total number of cameras we have from the many speculations, we conclude that Huawei P40 may be coming with eight cameras. While we will have to wait for the performances of its camera, we can guess that it will be mind-blowing.

If the poster picture is anything to go by, the screen display clearly nullifies the bezel on the sides but shows at the top. Also, details of the cameras other features include:

  • 1/1.28″ Sony IMX700 52-megapixel Hexadeca Bayer RYYB lens
  • 1/1.5″ Sony IMX650 40-megapixel ultrawide Cine RGGB lens
  • Telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom
  • Dual prism periscope zoom lens with 10x optical zoom
  • ToF (Time of Flight) sensor

Huawei will launch a total of three phones at its virtual conference in 26th March 2020. These phones are the Huawei P40, P40 Pro and P40 Pro PE. The Kirin 990 5G chipset will also likely power all the coming devices.

Will you be among the first set of people to try to get their hands on this device when it becomes available? If so, you will likely first be testing the Huawei P40 Pro back and front cameras.
