Lagos State Government has opened 20 new testing centres for Coronavirus across the state.
The Chief Press Secretary to Lagos State Governor, Gboyega Akosile revealed this in a tweet on Saturday 18th April 2020. He stated that testing will begin in these centres from Monday 20th April 2020.
The state government noted that visits to the centres are strictly by appointment, adding that the centres are not for emergency cases.

Meanwhile, Lagos State presently has the highest number of confirmed cases in Nigeria with a total of 309 cases. This is followed by FCT growing rapidly with 81 cases.
The Lagos State Health Commissioner, Professor Akin Abayomi, recently announced the death of a COVID-19 patient.
He said the deceased, is the case of an 83-year-old woman. The deceased reportedly had underlying health issues before contracting the virus.
So far, Lagos has recorded 14 deaths and 90 patients have recovered from the virus. As at 18th April, four patients got discharged from the Isolation centre, bringing the total discharged cases to 94.
