Nigerian superstar, Kizz Daniel, has apologised for failing to perform at a show in Tanzania on Sunday, August 8th.
Daniel was arrested in Dar es Salaam on Monday for failing to perform at the show. Fans had earlier trashed the venue in anger at the non-appearance of the singer.
At a press conference on Tuesday night streamed on the show promoter’s Instagram page, Kizz explained his side of the story, apologised, and promised a free show for Friday.
He said, “This Friday, a free show, by the way, I will be partnering with Straight Up Vibes to make that happen. I must apologize to the fans. None of this was intentional.”

Early on August 9, 2022, news on social media said that the “Buga” crooner had been released from police prison roughly 10 hours after being detained.
It is however unclear if Kizz Daniel was released on bail or if the case has been closed.
According to the show’s promoter Steven Ukah, a Nigerian who spoke to media personality Daddy Freeze via an Instagram Live Chat, he revealed that Kizz Daniel was paid $60,000 for the performance.
He further added that Kizz declined to perform since his suitcase from Uganda, where he had performed, had not yet arrived.
It is said that the luggage contained his clothes and valuables. Steven claims that Kizz Daniel turned down clothes that stylists in Tanzania offered him. All requests for him to perform also went unanswered.
