Grammy award-winning rapper and Yeezy boss, Kanye West has declared his political intentions to run for President in the upcoming American General Elections.
The billionaire rapper made known his political ambitions known on Twitter on Sunday, July 5th.
“We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision, and building our future. I am running for president of the United States,” West tweeted. He also added the American flag and a “#2020VISION” hashtag.

Kanye is already receiving support as his tech billionaire friend Elon Musk replied he’s with him all the way.

His famous reality TV star wife Kim Kardashian also retweeted the post quoting it with the American flag, also to show support of her husband.

Kanye has since set eyes for the oval office. In an interview with Zane Lowe in 2019, the “Ye” lord had said “There will be a time when I will be President of the United States. “And I will remember…any founder that didn’t have the capacity to understand culturally what we’re doing.” he told the host.
Before then, In 2018, Kanye West voiced his support for Donald Trump. At the time, Kanye tweeted: ‘You don’t have to agree with trump but the mob can’t make me not love him. We are both dragon energy.”
“He is my brother. I love everyone. I don’t agree with everything anyone does. ‘That’s what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought.’ to which the president replied: ‘Thank you Kanye, very cool!’
It’s however unclear if Kanye will truly run for President against Donald Trump and Joe Biden or If he’s completed the necessary paperwork as the elections, billed for November, is mere months away.
