Jay Z Deactivates Instagram Account 24hrs After Joining The Platform

Jay-Z’s journey on Instagram has come to an abrupt end.

Jay Z deactivated his account to the consternation of his fans

Jay Z joined Instagram on November 3, 11 years after the social media platform launched to the delight of his fans. However, he deactivated his account 24hrs later.

The billionaire rapper had amassed 2.3 million followers before he quit the app even though he only followed his wife, Beyoncé

His first and only post on the platform before deactivating was a photo of “The Harder They Fall” a 2021 movie that he co-produced.

The movie, scheduled to hit Netflix today, follows an outlaw, who discovers his enemy is being released from prison and reunites his gang to seek revenge.

The award-winning musician also shared a premiere countdown clock for the movie premiere on his Instagram story.

The project features top movie stars including Jonathan Majors, Idris Elba, Zazie Beetz, Regina King, Lakeith Stanfield, Delroy Lindo, and Deon Cole.

With numerous awards and recognition, Jay-Z has established himself as a prominent name in the global music landscape. In 2019, he had become the first hip-hop artist to attain billionaire status.

The rapper tied the knot with Beyoncé in 2008. The union has been blessed with three children; Blue Ivy, Rumi, and Sir.

Jay-Z in an interview with The Times said he and Beyoncé will not force their kids into show business. He said he’s aware of the legacy his children may feel the need to live up to. However, the music mogul said his priority is to ensure they have a loving environment and the needed attention.
