2019 blockbuster film “Sugar Rush” produced by Jade Osiberu is coming to Netflix very soon.
The film will join the increasing list of Nollywood films on the streaming platform. Director of the film Kayode Kasim took to his Instagram page to make the announcement

Early January 2020, the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) suspended the screening of “Sugar Rush”. The suspension of the film, which hit cinemas on the 25th of December 2019, became a trending topic on Twitter. Twitter users clamored for the return of the film with the hashtag #BringSugarRushBack.

Meanwhile, NFVCB took to its Instagram page to state why the film was suspended. They stated it was because the temporary approval given for the film exhibition has expired.
However, a week later, the producer of the film, Jade Osiberu in an excited mood announced that “Sugar rush” was back in cinemas. In her post, she thanked everyone who reached out during the ban. She went on to thank the NFVCB for helping get the film back in cinemas across Nigeria.
The Jadesola Osiberu produced comedy follows the story of three sisters who discover $80,000 and try to get away from law enforcement agencies and villains who lay claim to the money.
The film stars Adesua Etomi-Wellington, Bisola Aiyeola, Bimbo Ademoye, Williams Uchemba, Mawuli Gavor, Toke Makinwa, Bankole Wellington, Omoni Oboli among others. “Sugar Rush” grossed ₦150 million just two weeks into its screening in the cinemas.
