Forbes had just declared Kanye West a billionaire; a status the 42yr old had coveted for a long time.

His asset was placed at $1.3 billion, higher than that of his sister-in-law and makeup mogul Kylie Jenner who’s valued at $1billion.

The figure includes valuing his stake in the Yeezy sneaker line, which Forbes describes as “one of the great retail stories of the century,” at $1.26 billion.

Added to that, Forbes said the statement of assets they received from West’s team lists $17 million in cash (£13.7 million) and 35 million in stocks.

West’s other notable assets, according to his team, are $81 million in property and 21 million in landed properties.

However, despite now being classified as a billionaire, West is unhappy as he claims Forbes have undervalued him.

West had been quite displeased with the magazine for a while now and was more recently provoked after they published an article earlier this year listing billionaires and his name didn’t make the cut.

You know what you’re doing,” West is said to have texted a Forbes journalist. “You’re toying with me and I’m not gonna lye down and take it anymore in Jesus name.
