iPhone other storage is a section of your device memory that stores every other thing. Clearing it will increase space on your iPhone and make it faster.
If you just started using your brand new iPhone, you may not be worried about memory or storage space. However, those who have used their device for several months have no doubt already started to notice that it is slower and the memory space is getting full.
Deleting photos and videos could help, but the files stored in your iPhone’s other storage are not easily accessible. Here is how to clear it to make your iPhone faster and create more space:

1. You can opt to offload an app as opposed to deleting it. The difference is that the app is removed from your device, but it retains all its data. To do this, go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage: then tap on the app you want to offload and tap on Offload App.
2. Clear unnecessary data from your Safari browser by going to Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data (almost the same process applies to the Chrome browser app as well). It would help if you closed tabs you are no longer using or closed all by going to Settings > Safari > Close Tabs.
3. Another way to get more storage space is to stop your iPhone from saving texts forever. You can change the default settings by going to Settings > Messages > Message History > Keep Messages: change Forever to 30 Days or 1 Year, as you prefer. Your iPhone will prompt you to delete older messages.
With these methods, you can delete cached data that your device usually saves from other files while browsing the internet. You can see just how much storage the iPhone other storage has consumed by going to Settings > General > iPhone Storage; it is the part depicted in grey.
