Intel Reveals Its 10th Gen “Fastest Gaming Processor In The World”

Intel’s 10th Gen chip is available on almost all laptops the processor maker supports, now, it is looking to make the chip available across desktops as well.

 

The company has revealed its latest processors across its Core i9, i7, i5, and i3 models, claiming that the flagship model is the “world’s fastest gaming processor”.

 

The company also announced its latest Comet Lake-S in four models: the Core i9, i7, i5, and i3.

 

The i9-10900K is a flagship model, with 10 cores, 20 threads, and a maximum base frequency reaching 3.7 GHz. It can also be optimized up to an outrageous 5.3 GHz.

Fastest gaming processor in the world

The company says the 10th Gen Intel Core S-series is much faster for playing games, streaming content, and editing video.

 

Compared to a 2017 model, Intel says the Core i9 model can get up to 63 percent more frames per second in gaming. It can also attain 15 percent faster HD video editing and 18 percent faster 4K video editing.

In addition, the manufacturer boasts that the Core i9 will better the overall system performance by 31 percent.

 

The Core i7 is capable of eight cores and 16 threads and 3.8 GHz. like the core i9, it can also be optimized up to 5.1 GHz. The Core i5 can do six cores and 12 threads and can be optimized up to a maximum of 4.8 GHz.

 

Finally, the Core i3 model packs four cores and eight threads, with a maximum of 4.6 GHz when boosted.

 

The new processors support faster internet connections and DDR4-2933 memory. Its 2.5 GB Intel Ethernet Connector I225 more than doubles the network speeds of the regular 1 GB Ethernet connection. The 10th Gen processors are also Wi-Fi 6 ready.

 

Intel plans to make the 10th Gen Intel Core S-series processors available in the first sets of desktop systems this May.
