Inspired by TikTok’s template-like tool, Instagram brings a new feature to Reels that lets users create content like pre-existing ones, and it is basically calling it Templates.
Already, you likely have an idea what the feature will be like. You can fashion your Reels videos after other content on the platform to create more in less time and with fewer tools.
A Meta spokesperson said concerning the Templates feature coming to the media sharing site, “We are always working on new ways to make Reels simpler to create. We are testing the ability for you to make a reel using an existing Template from another reel.”

Back in January 22022, leaker Alessandro Paluzzi got hands on the feature during the early testing age and shared the details. However, what Instagram later released seems to be an improvement on what Paluzzi shared.
It is clear that Instagram will continue to do all it can to keep up with TikTok in the short-video-sharing industry. In 2021, the company said that it would stop promoting Reels with TikTok watermarks and start downranking reposts from the platform to its.
Besides the competition, Templates is likely to get Instagram more content as creators can simply drop their images and videos into already made sequences and post. No need to start learning how a person made a certain post or even using third-party creation tools.
