Hollywood veteran actor Alec Baldwin has reacted to the shooting accident that occured on set of the film ‘Rust’ which claimed the life Halyna Hutchins.
Baldwin had fired a prop gun on set of “Rust” the movie, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injuring the director Joel Souza.
In his statement, shared via Twitter, Baldwin expressed sadness over the unfortunate accident. He also said he was cooperating with the police to on the ongoing investigation.
“There are no words to convey my shock and sadness regarding the tragic accident that took the life of Halyna Hutchins, a wife, mother and deeply admired colleague of ours.

“I’m fully cooperating with the police investigation to address how this tragedy occurred and I am in touch with her husband, offering my support to him and his family. My heart is broken for her husband, their son, and all who knew and loved Halyna,” Baldwin tweeted.

The accident happened at the Bonanza Creek Ranch set in New Mexico on Thursday 21 October 2021.
Rust Movie Productions LLC in their statement; “We have halted production on the film for an undetermined period of time. And are fully cooperating with the Santa Fe Police Department’s investigation. We will be providing counselling services to everyone connected to the film as we work to process this awful event.”
So far, no charges have been filed. The investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
Halyna Hutchins was the director of photography for the 2020 action film “Archenemy”, directed by Adam Egypt Mortimer.
