HP Announces ARM CPU Powered Convertible Elite Folio PC
HP has announced the Elite Folio, a new convertible laptop with an Arm CPU. The HP Elite Folio uses “vegan leather,” unlike the 2019 Spectre Folio which should. But it should feel better than regular plastic.
The new PC also has a design that lets you pull the screen forward to rest between the keys and the trackpad for media consumption or touch-first work. It can also lie flat on top of the bottom shell for tablet-style use.
The HP Elite Folio has a 13.5-inch 3:2 1920 x 1280 display. In comparison to the Spectre Folio, it feels like an upgrade on its 16:9 panel. Due to the extra height, HP was also able to include a stylus silo above the keyboard.

The Elite Folio is power by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2. It also has LTE and 5G connectivity through its X20 and X55 modems. The Folio support up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
It has two USB-C 3.2 ports and a headphone jack. HP claims that it can get up to 24.5 hours of battery life when watching locally stored video files.
The Elite Folio seems to have improved on the HP Spectre Folio’s screen’s aspect ratio, speakers, and trackpad. The PC is expected to ship in February 2020 and HP hasn’t revealed pricing information yet.
