Microsoft has announced that it is rebranding Office 365 into Microsoft 365 in March 2020 and it won’t be free. Microsoft 365 more or less is a new service that adds more features to the Office 365 software.

 

The software is priced at a varying amount depending on the package that you want to subscribe to.

— Microsoft 365 Business Basic plan is priced at $5 per month

— Microsoft 365 apps for Business at $8.25 a month

— Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise $12 per month

— Microsoft 365 Business Standard at $12.50 per month

— Microsoft Business Premium plan at $20 a month

 

However, you can avoid these costs and get some versions of Office 365 and its apps for free at the moment. See some of the free packages below.

Student/Teacher package

You can get Office 365 for free If you’re a student, teacher, or faculty member of a school. To be eligible, you have to sign up using a valid school email address. The package comes with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Microsoft Teams, and some other classroom tools.

How everyone else can get Office 365 for Free

Everyone else can get a 30 day free trial of Office 365 to try out the service. However, you will need to enter your credit card details. If you don’t cancel before the end of the trial period… well, you’ll be charged $100 for a one-year subscription plan for Office 365 Home.

 

In addition, you can also access some of the Office 356 apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Outlook, Calendar, and Skype online for free.
