How To Get Rid Of Cavities With Home Remedies

Getting rid of Cavities in the teeth can be done by home remedies. But what is Cavities? Cavities are permanently damaged areas in the hard surface of your teeth that develop into tiny openings or holes.

What causes cavities?

Dental cavities are small gaps in the hard surface of the teeth. They are caused by microorganisms on the outside of teeth. The most widely recognized offender is a bacterium known as Streptococcus mutants.

The bacteria form a sticky film known as plaque. The acids in plaque expel minerals (demineralize) from your polish — a covering of the teeth made of calcium and phosphate. This disintegration causes small openings in the finish. When the corrosive harm spreads into the dentin layer, a cavity forms.

Not getting enough vitamin D may make the teeth vulnerable to cavities. Other hazard factors for cavities include:

Dry mouth or having an ailment that diminishes the measure of spit in the mouth, eating nourishments that stick to teeth, like candy and clingy food.

The following home remedies may help forestall much damage to the teeth and susceptibility to cavities.

1. Vitamin D

Vitamin D is critical to help digest calcium and phosphate from the food you eat. Studies have shown a reverse connection between eating foods high in vitamin D and calcium, like yoghurt and milk, and cavities in children. You can get vitamin D from dairy products.

2. Quit sugar

This cavity remedy is the hardest for many. Sugar is the most significant hazard factor that causes cavities. Reduction of sugar percentage to under 10% in the body system can help stop the spread and further damage.

If for any reason you must eat sugar, make effort not to nibble on sweet foods for most of the day. When the sugar is gone, your enamel takes the opportunity to remineralize. In any case, if you are continually eating sugar, your teeth don’t find the opportunity to remineralize.

 3. Licorice root

Chinese liquorice plant (Glycyrrhiza uralensis) possess the potency to combat the bacteria responsible for dental cavities.

4. Brush with fluoride toothpaste

Fluoride is effective in preventing cavities and remineralizing the enamel. Ads on magazines, TVs and social media inform us of the potency of fluoride. Routinely brushing of teeth with fluoride toothpaste is good for the teeth.

These home remedies do not guarantee the cure of existing cavities on their own. But these methods may keep cavities from getting bigger and prevent new ones. At best, they can help remineralize softened or weakened areas of your enamels before a cavity can develop. Be sure to visit the dentist regularly for quick detection and treatment.
