Facebook has confirmed that it is now testing dark mode for its mobile app. The social media giant in May 2020 launched the dark mode for its desktop version and now it’s bringing the same feature to certain users of its mobile app.
A Facebook spokesperson confirmed that the dark mode on its mobile app is now available to a very “small percentage users globally”. The dark mode is very popular amongst millennials as it reduces the phone glare and is even more aesthetically pleasing than the normal daylight mode.
Facebook has already rolled out the dark mode on all its other apps. Messenger, Facebook Lite, WhatsApp, Instagram, and recently the desktop app has received the feature. With the addition of the mode to its mobile app, the whole Facebook family of apps will now have support for dark mode.

Apart from aesthetics, the dark mode can also help preserve a device’s battery life as well as it uses less power than the normal mode.
If you have the Dark Mode, you can enable it by:
— taping on the hamburger icon on the top right corner below the messenger icon and scroll down.
— tap on “Settings & Privacy”.
— you’ll see the Dark Mode below the “Your Time on Facebook” and above the “Language” option.
