The Messenger bit has also seen lots of improvements over time. For instance, it is now easier to archive conversations on Facebook Messenger.
According to stats, over 20 billion messages are sent every month through Facebook’s 1.3 billion worldwide users. Therefore, there are users who will probably need to archive some important chats from time to time.
So, to archive and view chats or conversations on Facebook Messenger is pretty easy. Take a look at what you need to do below.
To archive the conversation
- Do this by logging on to the desktop or the mobile version of the app.
- Visit www.facebook.com/messages/t/ to open the desktop Messenger app.
- Then scroll down to the conversation you will like to archive.
- Tap the gear-shaped icon that appears next to the name when you hover on it with your mouse.
- Now, select Archive from the dropdown menu to save the conversation.
To view the archived messages on the desktop Facebook Messenger
- When you are logged in to your account, go to the menu bar at the top of the screen.
- Look for the Messenger icon that appears inside the little speech bubble.
- Click on it. At the bottom of the pop-up window, click on See All in Messenger.
- Then, click the Settings icon to reveal another dropdown menu at the Chats screen.
- From the menu, click Archived Threads. This will take you to the archived conversations.
To archive on Mobile
- Go to the Messenger app and use the search bar at the top of the app’s screen to type the name of the person you had the conversation with.
- Tap on the name of the contact and you will be able to view the conversation, along with the archived ones.
