Nollywood actresses Hilda Dokubo and Kate Henshaw have called out Emeka Rollas, President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria.
The actresses took to their social media pages to contest Senator Elisha Abbo’s intended appointment as patron of the union.
Hilda Dokubo via her Instagram announced that she will not allow “an abuser” to serve as a patron in an association she belongs to.
See her post below:

Kate Henshaw also reacted to the news via her Twitter page. She explained her reasons for rejecting The Senator as patron of the union.
She ended her tweet by declaring that she as a woman would not want the serving senator to slap her.

Emeka Rollas, I cannot find your handle on Twitter, my name is Kate Henshaw and I do not mince words when I say @AbboElisha is NOT worthy to be a patron of the Actors Guild of Nigeria. We have women in this guild and we do not want to be slapped!!

Senator Elisha Abbo representing Adamawa North made the news in June 2019. This was after a CCTV footage revealed him slapping a woman in an adult toy shop.

The Senator had slapped the lady and also called on the police officer assigned to him to arrest her. He, however, later made a public apology in an emotional video. But as it is often said, “the internet does not forget”.
With Hilda Dokubo and Kate Henshaw’s outburst on social media, it is obvious that his appointment as patron of the union may not see the light of day.
Emeka Rollas is yet to make a public statement on the issue, but trust us to follow up on the story.
