Facebook is probably the last social media site to get on the dark mode bandwagon. Compared to Twitter and Instagram, which have had the mode enabled on its platforms, Facebook is way behind. Anyways, better late than never, right?
Facebook announced its new desktop redesign on 8th May 2020 and said that the dark mode is now available globally, with the social media giant adding that “it’s faster, easier to use and gives your eyes a break with dark mode.”
The dark mode, which is the highlight of the update, is guaranteed to transform user experience at night as it is easier on the eye.
The new Facebook update also overhauls the arrangement of the site. It features a new skinnier News Feed, sufficient empty space on the left and right rails, larger icons, and a menu bar that lets you navigate the app.
