Former Nigerian Minister of Petroleum Allison Madueke-Dieziani is now the current commissioner for Trade and Commerce Investment in the Dominican Republic.

This means she can no longer be arrested or prosecuted by any law enforcement agency including the Interpol.
According to reports, she became a Dominican citizen on May 21 right before Ex-president Goodluck Jonathan handed over to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Recall that the former minister is facing a  list of corruption charges including fraudulent possession of 76 properties in Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt. The properties are valued at N23 billion. Dieziani also has a 14 count charge of stealing $153 million against her by the EFCC.

The lobbying actually worked. She received her citizenship and new appointment on June 1, 2015, just as her tenure as Nigeria’s Petroleum Minister ended.

According to a source in ThisDay, her 32-page passport also carries a stamp that affirms the restriction of arrest and prosecution.

The source said:
“The President of the Commonwealth of Dominica requests and requires in the Name of the Government of Dominica all those whom it may concern to allow the bearer to pass freely without let or hindrance and afford the bearer such assistance and protection as may be necessary.

The number of diplomatic passport is DP0000445.

Diezani’s appointment letter says her job description is to “direct promotion and marketing of Dominica as a trade and investment domicile, as well as an emerging and unique tourist destination in the Caribbean.”
