The Lists feature is available on both the mobile Twitter app and the web version. In this article you will see tips and how to properly curate a Twitter list and why should you start using it today.
Lists on Twitter is an easy way for you to follow your favourite topics and users. They are important because they help you limit distractions as well as unwholesome content.
For example, once you go to your Twitter lists, you automatically restrict what you see to the members you have added. Also, you can switch between lists, going from one to the other.
Sometimes, you may come across some contents that are irritating or disturbing because someone you follow liked or retweeted it. But on your Twitter List, you can control what you see to a higher extent.

To create a list on your mobile Twitter application, do the following:
- On the opened app, tap on your profile picture.
- Under Profile, in the menu that opens, you will find the Lists option.
- Once it opens, you will see a button at the bottom right of the screen. Tap on it to create your list.
To create a list on the Twitter web version, do the following:
- On the left of the page, locate the List option (under bookmarks).
- Once it opens, you will see a button at the top right of the Lists page. Tap on it to create your list.
You can create a limitless number of lists and pin up to five of the most important ones to quickly access them. People can also add you to follow a list they have created and you get to accept or not.
After you have created your Twitter Lists, you can add users to the appropriate list so that you control what you see at a given time. To add a Twitter user to your List, open the user’s profile and tap on the three dots near their profile picture; it is arranged horizontally for the version and vertically for the mobile application.
You also get to see Lists that other Twitter users create and the member (except the user sets it to private). With this, you don’t see content that you don’t want to see.
