A relationship can be beautiful, especially when both parties are in sync and want the same thing. However, like some good things, relationships do come to an end.

Sometimes, the need for a breakup is mutual and things are ended amicably. Other times, just one partner may want to end things and the other one is oblivious. If you’re at a point where you feel like the signs you’re getting may not be all clear, this piece should bring some clarity.

Here are the signs your boyfriend/girlfriend is about to break up with you.

They’re no longer interested in the details of your life.

Naturally, your partner is the one you talk to the most about your life and all tell all small details that would seem unimportant to another person.

At the point where they’re tired of the relationship, they’ll begin to lose interest in what you’ve to say. Their replies will become non-committal.

Other times, they’ll be distracted and seem not to take anything you say seriously or even remember what you said at all. That’s a sign they’re losing interest and are now considering other options, like walking away.

They’re repulsed by the display of affection

When a person is tired of you, they don’t want to cuddle, kiss, or snuggle and they definitely don’t want to indulge in any PDA ( Public Display of Affection).

Once you notice your partner becomes irritated by little display of affection, that’s a sign they’re looking at the door.

Everything you say or do annoys them

This is one of the first signs that your partner is about to walk out. Everything you do is annoying. They pick up on your slightest mistakes and make a big deal out of it.

They stop talking about the relationship

Why some persons might be under the misconception that once their partner stops complaining about the relationship all is well and good, the reverse is most likely the case.

It means they’ve stopped caring about the relationship and have resigned themselves to an impending end. Suddenly, what used to concern them about the relationship no longer does and they act as though they don’t care if everything goes to blazes.

They spend less time with you

Again, they want to be anywhere else but with you. You’ll notice that the time you both spend together begins to shrink.

You feel as though you’ve to tiptoe around them

When it’s nearing the end, you feel as though you’re walking on eggshells around them. You’ll notice you’ve become very careful with what you say and how you act around them so as not a spark of another fight. Which will be frequent, given the changes.

When you bring up their new attitude, they stone-wall

You’ll notice that when you bring up the new changes in your relationship and how you’ll like to address them, they stone-wall, bring up flimsy excuses, or rage at you.

This is a sign that they’re fed up and it’s only just a matter of time.

They need space

Well, the good old “I need space” is all the handwriting on the wall you need. Of course, he/she doesn’t need leg or room space; this space is so they can break up with you.

It’s just like whetting the ground before you know, you break it.

When it comes to this you’ve two options; to really sit down to talk about it which will involve retracing steps and doing a general overhaul of the relationship.

The second option is to break up yourself and walk away. Whatever you do, remember that you’re important and you should never lose yourself trying to fix a relationship.
