Hogwarts Legacy, the video game set in the Wizarding world of Harry Potter, has been delayed until February 2023. It was scheduled for 2022 holiday shopping season before the date was changed.
Avalanche Software, the studio making the game, released a statement on Friday, detailing why the date was being changed.

“We’re excited about what we’re creating here at the studio and we just need a little bit more time to deliver the best possible experience to everyone,” it said via its community manager, Chandler Wood.
However, the new February 10 date is just for PlayStation, Xbox and PC platforms. Wood says that the Nintendo Switch version will get a later release.
Hogwarts Legacy is an action role-playing game set in the late 1800s, before Harry Potter and his friend’s time. It follows a fifth year student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The student is on a mission to solve the mystery of an ancient magic that threatens to ruin the magic world.
While the many characters that fans fell in love with in the original film’s franchise are missing, some like Nearly Headless Nick, The Fat Lady, and Peeves appear in the game. Instead, new characters are introduced like mentor Professor Eleazar Fig and villains Ranrok, leader of the Goblin Rebellion, and Victor Rookwood, leader of a group of Dark Wizards.
