Silent billionaire, oil titan and philanthropist Hajiya Bola Shagaya shut down Lagos on Saturday, 12th October 2019, to celebrate her 60th birthday. Her family and friends, which included some of Nigeria’s top personalities, showed up at the prestigious Eko Convention Centre to honour the high society doyen.
The birthday party saw the likes of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, former president of Nigeria Goodluck Jonathan, Aliko Dangote, Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi, billionaire businessman Leo Stan Ekeh and his wife CEO of Technology Distributions Chioma Ekeh, Senator Bukola Saraki, Ooni of Ife Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, and many more dignitaries. The event also saw performances from Beejay Sax and DJ Cuppy.
To Hajiya, birthdays are moments to reflect on life generally. The Kwara State-born billionaire promised not to celebrate an elaborate birthday shindig until she turns 60. And so, when the time came, the graduate of Ahmadu Bello University threw a grand birthday soiree in Lagos. The event saw an outpour of love and affection for the billionaire businesswoman.
Prior to her birthday celebration, she had a photo shoot with celebrity photographer TY Bello. The photos taken were used to grace the grand entrance to the event. Hajiya treated her guests to the best of high-cost champagnes and other assorted drinks. Continental and local dishes were served as well.
