American actress Gwyneth Paltrow is turning 50 in a golden way.
The Goop founder stripped down and got slathered in metallic body powder for a “Goldfinger”-inspired n**e shoot in honour of her 50th birthday Tuesday.

“All I know is that they’re painting me gold and that I have to be n***d. I feel so good turning 50, and this is about expressing that sense of energy and optimism that I’m experiencing,” Paltrow said while on set, per a Goop press release.
“It’s more about the female gaze and just a sense of fun.”
Photographer Andrew Yee snapped the stunning pics, while celebrity makeup artist Lottie was tasked with turning Paltrow into a “golden goddess,” as she told Goop.
“I feel so good turning 50, and this is about expressing that sense of energy and optimism that I’m experiencing,” Paltrow said.
After “[making] sure the skin on her face and body was very, very moisturized” using products from Goop Beauty’s Goopgenes line, naturally — Lottie applied “piles of gold powder” to the actress’ face and body.

“Gwyneth was such a sport. We started the day with less and built to more and more gold,” she recalled.
“I think aging is actually a beautiful thing. We just need to open our perceptions,” Paltrow said of the shoot. “As you become more yourself, in integrity, your life really opens up.”
Ahead of turning the big 5-0, the “Shakespeare in Love” actress shared some “musings on a milestone” with fans along with a joyful bikini ‘gram, writing on Goop that while she “strangely [has] no sense of time passed,” her body “is less timeless.”
“My body [is] a map of the evidence of all the days. A collection of marks and irregularities that dog-ear the chapters. Scarred from oven burns, a finger smashed in a window long ago, the birth of a child. Silver hair and fine lines. The sun has left her celestial fingerprints all over me,” the Oscar winner shared.
“I accept the marks and the loosening skin, the wrinkles,” Paltrow wrote in a Goop essay ahead of her 50th birthday.
“Accept the marks and the loosening skin, the wrinkles. I accept my body and let go of the need to be perfect. Look perfect, defy gravity, defy logic, defy humanity. I accept my humanity.”
Still, during a 2020 chat with her mother, Blythe Danner, and her teenage daughter, Apple, Paltrow admitted that “aging is hard.”
“It’s definitely a process, and I think when you see your face start to change, you don’t necessarily feel your most beautiful externally,” she said in a Goop video at the time.
“But the irony is it’s that time in your life when you actually really like yourself and love yourself. So you sort of internally feel really beautiful.”
